This bead set comes as a complete necklace with handmade replica of the Thorâs Hammer pendant found in PĂ„lstorp, Sweden and 30 handmade Viking glass beads. Glass beads are among the most common archaeological finds from the Viking Age. Just as back then, each bead has been shaped through the traditional winding technique where molten glass is wrapped around a metal rod.
The necklace can be worn in two authentic ways - as a decorative piece hanging between tortoise brooches together with a Viking Age apron dress, or simply as a standalone necklace highlighting the impressive Thorâs Hammer pendant.
- Handmade beads and a bronze PÄlstorp hammer
- Based on historical finds
- Material: Glass and bronze
- Set contains a PÄlstorp Thor's hammer (SKU 2769), Leather cord (SKU 3163) and 30 glass beads.
Vikings would go to any lengths to get hold of colored beads, which is evident in the huge amount found during excavations. They are the single most common items found in pre-Christian Viking graves.
